Mamaroneck EMS Responds with VMFD to Structure Fire

December 27, 2019

Late in the evening on December 27, Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department requested Mamaroneck EMS to standby while they were operating at a structure fire on Spruce Street. While performing a search of the affected building, firefighters discovered and extricated a burn victim. EMS treated and transported the patient to definitive care at a local area hospital that specializes in burn care.

In addition to treating the patient, VMFD discovered a furry friend with minor burns and smoke inhalation. Crews from both Mamaroneck EMS and Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corp tended to the cat to the gratefulness of the cat's owner.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Larchmont VAC for providing both an ALS ambulance for scene support and a BLS ambulance for district coverage.
