VOLUNTEER

Join MEMS as a volunteer and serve your community. New members begin as probationary attendants, riding alongside experienced EMTs and paramedics while learning how MEMS operates. After completing probation, members may pursue one of two paths: EMT certification or driver training.

REQUIREMENTS

16 YEARS OLD OR OLDER

We require all active-duty members to be at least 18 years or older to join as a member or 16 to join our Junior Corps Program.

US CITIZENSHIP

To apply for any position at Mamaroneck Emergency Medical Service you must be a citizen of the
United States or a lawful permanent resident.

AVAILABILITY

Members are required to commit to at least 6 hours per week, attend monthly meetings/training nights, and obtain their BLS CPR certification. Members must be available to complete an uninterrupted six month probationary period.

CLEAN BACKGROUND

We require all candidates to undergo screening and have a clean criminal record and background before application approval.
